Rayavadee appoints New Executive Chef, Louis Poh Yu-Ming

January 2026 - Krabi, Thailand - Rayavadee is delighted to announce the appointment of Louis Poh Yu- Ming as the new Executive Chef. Chef Louis brings a combination of creativity and knowledge shaped by his experience in renowned hotels, complemented by hands-on exposure to Michelin-starred cuisine and international culinary exploration to delivering refined dining experiences rooted in craftsmanship, sustainability and a strong sense of place at Rayavadee

A Malaysian national – Louis Poh Yu-Ming discovered his passion for the culinary arts while training in the kitchen at Shangri-La Rasa Sayang in Penang during his study Hotel and Catering Management at Stamford College in Penang. It was during this time that he developed a clear commitment to focus on a career in the culinary profession.

With 34 years of international culinary experience, he has developed strong expertise in French-Mediterranean and Asian cuisines. His culinary began in Malaysia, Thailand and expanded across various parts of Asia, enriching his understanding of regional ingredients, techniques, and cultures. His professional development includes an exposure at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Port Camargue, France in 2007, a chef workshop in the Maldives in 2006 with Spanish chefs Kristian Loutoud and Curro Sanchez Noriega. Chef Louis has expanded his culinary perspective through personal dining and cultural explorations in Europe, Asia and Australia, which continue to influence his approach to quality, balance, and authenticity.

Rayavadee is pleased to welcome Krabi-based Chef Sarot Maneemai as the new Pastry Chef.
With over 20 years of experience in the pastry industry, he has worked at renowned resorts and hotels in Krabi, progressing from a cook helper to his most recent role Pastry Chef of Phulay Bay, a Ritz Carlton Reserve Krabi, before joining Rayavadee.

With his extensive background as a pâtissier and chocolatier, along with his creative vision, Rayavadee is set to offer a new level of pastry indulgence, making each dessert a remarkable experience.

The collection will be on display and to purchase from 4th December 2025 - 31st March 2026. Open daily 8:00 – 18:00 hrs. at Him Gong Curated Craft, Raya Heritage
